Wallace Stevens Article

Wallace Stevens in his article “Art, Entertainment, Entropy” suggest that entertainment media is not art. Art is thought provoking and entertainment media is superficial and illicit only effortless conditioned responses.

Newer interactive entertainment media allows people to take an interactive role in the media. The audience becomes the creator instead of being told what to look at. With the advancement of knowledge comes the accessibility of technologies that puts more power in the average person’s hand and not huge corporations. Plus an enormous part of mass media is the spread of information and the internet is the ultimate means getting information spread across the world. So in short, newer interactive media is more thoughtful than entertainment media.
