Manifestoon

Karl Marx’s description of the economy relates to Noam Chomsky’s “Propaganda Model” in that they have the similar belief that the people do not have a say or freedom in what they want or what they don’t want. Noam Chomsky argues that the government and big corporations run propaganda ad they have the say in what is being advertised and where, while the people are just left to see it without even being able to complain about it. Karl Marx describes the economy by saying that everyone has gone from being a physician, a priest, a scientist, into nothing but paid wage-laborers. The economy has turned people’s views from what they are doing and achieving during work, to people who are just looking into what their wage is going to be and when they are going to be getting paid. Marx describes society as being divided into two groups which are the bourgeoisie and the proletariat. The bourgeoisie are all the upper class people with all the power and respect, which is all based on how much money they have. The proletariat is the lower class people who do not have a say in any situation because they are seen are seen as unworthy and insignificant. Karl Marx’s excerpt and Noam Chomsky’s “Propaganda Model” relate to one another because they are both about one group that has all the power and respect that takes over and controls the other group that is not given the right to speak and say what they think or want or anything.
