Adbusters
I chose the "Obsession for men" ad, with the man looking down his underwear. An actual ad may be selling the lifestyle of a well built guy who is that way because of his underwear or cologne choice. This one, however, is selling men poor self esteem and inadequacy on account of the size of their penis. Whereas a real ad would deliver the message that one's confidence/ self esteem/ penis size would be increased by buying the product and the lifestyle attached to it, this fake ad only delivers a message of shame, humiliation, and self consciousness. Whereas an actual ad would bluntly attempt to sell a product and subvertly sell a lifestyle and mindset, this fake ad sells only insecurity and absolutely no product.
