Killing Us Softly 3

Kilbourne’s central argument is that advertisements not only sell products but concepts of society and normalcy while, at the same time, depict people, such as women, as objects available for purchase.

  1. I agree that Kilburne emphasizes the fact that advertisements directed towards females tend to commidify the female body, and I find it interesting that this commodification of body parts seems to be a rising trend in the media.
